Coughlin Wraps Up Rookie Season With Top 15 Finish in Miami

Cody Coughlin’s 2017 racing season came to a close on Friday night at the 1.5-mile Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Florida. The young driver fought an ill-handling truck throughout the entire day at the challenging track, but he and his ThorSport Racing team battled all night long to score a top-15 finish.

Coughlin battled a Toyota Tundra that was too tight in the two morning practice sessions. After starting the 200-mile race from the 16th position, Coughlin fought a truck that flipped over to the loose side.

Coughlin Shows Speed Deep in the Heart of Texas

The “Wild West” can be one tough place, but Cody Coughlin and his ThorSport Racing team persevered in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Texas Motor Speedway.  Whether it was other trucks, his own ill-handling truck, or the gas tank, Coughlin fought through it all on Friday night to a 16th-place finish in the Lone Star state.

Coughlin qualified 15th on Friday afternoon. After his lap he said his JEGS.com Toyota Tundra was too tight on corner entry and corner exit.

Coughlin Fights Hard Through Difficult Conditions at Martinsville

The flat half-mile oval of Martinsville Speedway in Virginia is challenging enough when your truck is handling perfectly.  An ill-handling truck makes for a very long day, and that is what Cody Coughlin had to fight through on Saturday in the Texas Roadhouse 200 for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

Coughlin’s day began with a 20th-place qualifying effort. 20th-place would also be where Coughlin would finish.

Coughlin Racing for a Good Cause and a Good Finish at Martinsville

Cody Coughlin has unfinished business at the half-mile paperclip that is the Martinsville Speedway in Virginia. Coughlin to Race for Cancer Awareness at Martinsville Speedway

The month of October is a special, but emotional time for the NASCAR driver Cody Coughlin and his family. Like most families, the Coughlin family has suffered losses due to the horrible disease of cancer. That has led the Coughlin family to do something extraordinary in the hopes of one day finding a cure for cancer. The Coughlin family, through the JEGS Foundation, has donated $10 million to the The Ohio State University Foundation for cancer treatment and research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center in Columbus, Ohio.

Coughlin Leads the Way at Talladega Superspeedway

Cody Coughlin showed that he is a true contender for race wins in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in Saturday’s fred’s Pharmacy 250 at Talladega Superspeedway. Coughlin raced his way from the 18th starting position into the lead during the race’s final stage before getting caught up in a big crash with about 20 laps to go.
